For the movie The Godfather i thought the the music made some of the scenes what they are. Without the music it would have still been interesting to watch but not as intense as it is. Also this is the first time i have seen this movie and i thought it lacked a purpose or did not have enough draw to keep me interested in watching, that's just my opinion though.

i thought that the background music made the scenes more interesting but some parts of the movie progresses to slow like the wedding in the beggining was longer than it needed to be but overall it was a good movie mike j

I totally agree with mike with some scenes being way longer than they could have been. To me the movie had a lot of talking and with all that i started to get confused on what was going and. So if he made scenes shorter and possibly a little less dialogue it would have been easier for me to follow along.

i think the movie would b easier to follow if they cut a few scenes that didnt seem to be neccessary for example i never got the sognificance of why there needed to be the wedding seen it just seemed to me like a waste of time to show so many people that never get shown again like the people who were singing it looked like they were going to become important.

I think the movie would be easier to follow if some scenes were out. It just didn't make me want to keep watching. It did interest me after while. I got into it but the scene where the mob was killing their own guys seemed very confusing. It was ok though.

Wile i agree that it was a little confusing at times to follow the story, isnt that kinda the point of the movie? That what these people do is chaotic and unsetaling?

Also as far as the long scenes go i dissagree. the longated scenes only add to the tension that is in the movie and the plot and by draging that out it makes the viewer feel that for a longer time.

I find the movie Apocalypse Now very interesting in the way that it was based off of a book but twisted to just have certain ideas from it. Also i like the scene where they are boating up the river and stop the produce boat and they kill everyone just because they though they were hiding people but it turned out to be a dog. I like it because it shows how reckless some people were during that war and time.

I also liked Apocolypse now, it was a long movie but it did not feel long like the godfather. my favorite scene was when he was going crazy in his room because in vietnam people went crazy and it was realistic, he wasnt super human he was a normal person. i think i liked the movie more because i watched the documentary, than i wouldhave if i didnt watch it. one common theme in Francis Ford Coppala's movies is that his charectors are not unkillable. in the godfather sunny gets killed & the whole movie he seeemed to be a powerful charector that wouldnt be killed.

I got a little lost watching Apocalypse Now. I liked it and I didn't. I didn't like it because it was way too long but it was better than the Godfather. I liked the main character because he took charge of his men and lead them to their destiny. Apocalypse Now could have gotten to the point in a shorter time than 3 hours and 30mins. The movie would have been more enjoyable.

I realy enjoyed Apocalypse now. I particularly liked the way that coppala sets up the story in that each new destination is a new expirience and each new place has a lesson for the characters and us as viewers to learn.

On that note i just thalt of this but the hole movie is realy both a literal and a spiritual journy. As they travle down the river further and further the more Willard is taking a journy into himself. Repetadly throught the film they keep asking how far they are going down the river and Willard dosnt know just like willard is unawhere how far he will go mentaly into the depths of his humanity and soul.

american graffiti was the best one of francis ford coppalas movies the cars were awsome and it was always fun to watch it also didnt seem to have the long pointless scenes from the other movies. i also like it because it is not a super long movie

I also liked american graffiti because it was the only one we watched that was meant to be happy. the other ones were mob and war movies that seemed to progress to slowly. i like how this movie had shorter scenes than the other two

In my opinion i dont realy think that Coppola made this movie will the intent of making it happy. I think it was the same as some of his other movies where he had a question he wanted answered and did it thru a movie. the question being what do after high school and explored the complecitly of growing up.

But on the other had he did make it a less seriouse mood of a film which made it much more exsiting and fun to watch.

Out of all 3 movies I liked Amercan Graffiti the best. The plot was easy to follow and I liked a couple of charaters. It was about teeangers having fun while trying to figure out the future.
