Steven Soderbergh's remake of Ocean’s Eleven was an action packed movie with a lot of added comedic talent. The movie was nominated for the critics choice award for best acting ensemble because of all of all of the big name and lesser known actors and actresses. Andy Garcia won the ALMA award for most outstanding supporting actor in a motion picture. The way that Steven made this movie with a lot of close-ups made you feel like you were right next to George Clooney and Brad Pit robbing the casino. He brought the dark side out of you by putting the camera right in all of the action. By the end of the movie you thought that robbing a casino for 160000000 dollars was easy and you were ready to try it out for yourself.

Whoa i had no clue this was a remake danny but anyways i thought Ocean's Eleven was a very interesting engaging movie. Having a lot of random celebrities in the film somewhat drew me more into the film. It was fun to watch the different types of actors/actresses act like themselves basically throughout the poker scene when Brad Pitt was teaching them how to play. This movie had various amounts of camera angles when the group of men are trying to rob the Biaggi hotel/casino. When George Clooney and his partner were looking down at the floor from the roof a high angle shot is used so you can see how far up they are and how far down they have to travel down a cord which was holding them up with a magnet. This movie is very adventurous and it makes you feel like you want to be apart of the group that robbed the casino.

Danny i agree with you that this film had a lot of
comedic talent. Each character had there own little humorous personalities which brought a lot to the film. Also i really enjoyed the little asian dude who was really good at climbing and sticking onto things, he was like a little monkey. The monkey guy was a good choice for this movie because there were many scenes where you had to be little and able to move around to different places to avoid the alarm system that were everywhere. For me i thought at the end of the movie robbing a casino was NOT easy. The characters had to go through a lot to get 160,000,000 dollars but with everyones minds and talents together they were able to

I agree with Jen watching all the other stars play themselves trying to learn how to play poker from brad pit was a really cool scene. I think that these characters parts were written for the characters that play them because you their personalities come out in the movie.

The transitions from scene to scene in this film vary intensely from scene to scene. I saw (in no particular order) manipulations to the rate of projection, still frames mixed in with montage, and immediate high-angle cuts preceded by fade-ins. I believe Mr. Soderbergh wanted to create a seperate, chaotic mood for every character's point of view, usually the scene's protagonist.

So Oceans 12 was a pretty good movie! i dont know why Nick thought it wasn't, but i feel like oceans 12 had a bit more comedy than it did action. I mean they did steal the egg from the museum but my favorite part of the movie was when the character Tess who is actually Julia Roberts was pretending to be Julia Roberts when they were sneaking into the museum. I liked how oceans 12 went abroad to Amsterdam so we could see what people were like in various places. Also Steven Soderbergh directed this film with many different flashbacks when revealing the true story. I thought it was fun being able to see the whole the unravel in the end.

I liked how Steven brought back all of the characters by them getting threatened by the Bliaggio dude. It was funny to see what they had all been doing with the money the stole previous to oceans 12 in oceans 11. I liked how there was also a little romance going on that made the protagonist become apart of the antagonist at the end. Steven has a lot of different surprises in his films and twist and turns which draws your attention through out the whole film. Like at the end of the movie when one of the guys from the night fox was in jail, his mother was the one to bail him out.. i think thats how it went.. but anyways this film has got me excited to see oceans 13! =)

I think that nick didn’t like the movie cause he fell asleep halfway through. He had trouble waiting for all the action to start. It does take most of the movie to set up the heist. I don’t have any experience in heists but my guess is they take a lot of planning for just a little action. I do agree with Jen I thought it was cool that Tess played Julia Roberts in the movie. Soderbergh has done that in all of the movies so far oceans 11 and 12. I also think that Soderbergh kept me guessing what would happen next because of all of the back and forth between present day and the past.

The Bellagio dude? Really Jen? Come on. His name is Terry Benedict also known as Andy Garcia. Get your facts straight. It was cool that they brought back all of the same actors/actresses. That must mean that they made a lot of money from oceans 11 to pay all of them for oceans 12. It was cool to see that Terry Benedict was still out to get Danny for stealing his money in the earlier movie.

The third oceans movie, Oceans thirteen was a more complex movie. They didn’t just rob the casinos vault they rigged the tables so everyone would win a lot of money. They wanted to make the casino lose the most money possible even if they were not the ones that got all the money. I liked how they added in Al Pacino to the cast that is already full of successful actors.

I also liked how they brought Terry Benedict back into this movie. It was ironic because they wanted him to give them money for a big drill. I liked how François Toulour tried to best Ocean's eleven again in oceans thirteen by working with Benedict to steal the diamonds.
